hi, I’m natasha

I’ve always been drawn to depth, both as a human and a therapist. I chose to pursue a career in therapy after undergraduate study in psychology and cultural anthropology, wanting to move even closer to the depths of human experience. I believe it to be the greatest honor to meet and hold a person’s sorrow and suffering, grief and pain, most tender wounds -- and to be trusted in moving them through.

As a relational therapist, I honor the therapeutic relationship as a sacred space of healing. The security, trust, and acceptance we create together will invite your body and system to reorganize out of survival and protection, and into safety.

As a trauma therapist, I recognize the limitations of insight, self-awareness, and traditional talk therapy. Here we will use somatic, or body-based therapy, and work with the nervous system to support your body’s innate capacity for healing and resolution.

My Approach as a therapist

I specialize in complex trauma, sex & intimacy, betrayal/infidelity, and relationships. I help individuals and couples recover from trauma that has impacted their sense of safety, connection, and intimacy.

My approach to therapy is warm, intuitive, emotionally-attuned, holistic, and body-based. I incorporate Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you reconnect to yourself and in your relationships, and begin to move from a place of authenticity, truth, and grounded self-assuredness.

Whether you’re healing from trauma, recovering after relational rupture, or seeking to deepen intimacy and trust your body again, we’ll support your system in coming back into safety, aliveness, and connection. I offer a space where all parts of you are welcome, and will be met with compassion, curiosity, respect, and deep care.

Outside of private practice, much of my work has aimed to bring a heightened understanding of the systemic impacts of trauma, and to offer competent, trauma-focused care to those who have historically been marginalized, pathologized, and underserved.

I’ve worked in forensic settings providing crisis intervention and mental health treatment to the incarcerated population and those with severe mental illness. I’ve also worked in addiction treatment, specializing in sex-related addictions and compulsive/problematic sexual behavior. I’ve provided school-based therapy for high-risk adolescents, and supported families in strengthening their resources and collective safety.

my approach as a human

I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative power of being deeply seen, understood, and accepted by another. I spent many years attempting to analyze and intellectualize my way out of personal and multigenerational trauma, addiction, and mental illness. It wasn’t until my own profound experiences as a client in therapy that I found restorative healing.

I’m part of the sober community and have experience with 12-step recovery. Mindfulness, meditation, yoga, connection to nature and all living beings are core to my spirituality and humanness. I practice veganism and Ahimsa, love animals, and have a deep reverence for Eastern traditions and philosophy. I also identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
